Instructions

  1. 1.
Begin by preparing the tofu. Drain it well and pat dry with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible. This helps achieve a crispier texture when cooked. Once dry, cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  2. 2.
In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and the juice from half a lemon. Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are fully blended, creating a vibrant, aromatic marinade.
  3. 3.
Add the cubed tofu to the marinade, gently stirring to ensure each piece is thoroughly coated. Allow the tofu to soak up the flavors for at least 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the marinated tofu cubes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the tofu turns golden brown and slightly crispy. Be sure to save the marinade for later use.
  5. 5.
Once the tofu is cooked, reduce the heat to medium and pour the remaining marinade into the skillet. Continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tofu is glossy and the sauce slightly thickens. If the tofu sticks, add a splash of water.
