- 1.Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. This ensures that the tortillas will cook evenly, providing a crispy exterior without burning them. If the skillet gets too hot, reduce the heat slightly to maintain an even temperature.
- 2.Place one tortilla in the skillet and evenly sprinkle half of the shredded Oaxaca cheese over it. The cheese should be spread to the edges to ensure it melts and binds the tortilla layers together.
- 3.Layer the sliced avocado on top of the cheese, covering it evenly. Add the jalapeño slices over the avocado. Arrange them thoughtfully to get some heat in each bite, or concentrate them in one area for a milder experience with occasional spice.
