5Roasted Balsamic Brussels with Walnuts
These tender roasted Brussels sprouts are coated in a sweet balsamic glaze and topped with crunchy walnuts for a satisfying side dish.
How to make it
- 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- 2
Trim the ends off your Brussels sprouts and cut any larger ones in half. Place them in a large bowl.
- 3
Drizzle the Brussels sprouts with the olive oil. Toss them well to coat every sprout. Season with a little salt and pepper to your liking.
- 4
Spread the coated sprouts in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. Roast for 15-20 minutes, or until tender and lightly browned.
- 5
While the sprouts roast, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and maple syrup in a small bowl.
- 6
Remove the sprouts from the oven. Pour the balsamic maple mixture over them and toss gently to coat. Sprinkle with the chopped walnuts.
- 7
Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for another 5-7 minutes, until the glaze is slightly caramelized and the walnuts are toasted. Serve warm and enjoy this delicious side dish!
